Which Fan Heater Should I Use For Hot Yoga?

New Electric Fan Heater For Hot Yoga

Frico Elektra Fan Heater - Quick Heat Up Time
We have a launched a new product line of high specification fan heaters to cope with the high temperature demands of hot yoga.  The Frico Elektra H series fan heater delivers up to 9kW of heat to the room, and allows  for up to 70⁰C of heat within the space.  We work on a heat output calculation that covers heat loss, isulation, type of buidling - old or new build - and the number of people in the room.  Once the calculation is set, we can take a look at how we heat the room for hot yoga, bikram yoga and the like.

Set on an individual thermostat the heaters can be managed to take the temperature up to 43⁰C (or above for the hardcore yogis!) so that the room and the body becomes hot to practice.

 Quality Design

The Elektra Fan Heater is an incredibly hard wearing electric fan, built for demanding environments, and it is mainly designed for statonary use - such as mounting it to a  wall - but it can be apdapted for portable use.  Because of the power output, and the fact that it is a three phase fan heater, it does mean you will need to have three phase power supply coming in to the building in order to power up the unit.

Frico Elektra Heats The Space In Quick Time

Heat Up In Quick Time

In terms of heat up time, this fan heater will give 9kW of heating power within minutes, and because of the design of the unit, it will deliver the heat very quietly - it is one of the quietest large fan heaters on the market with such power.  The industrial heater makes this unit perfect for high temperature environments such as hot yoga.

Mounting Suggestions

It comes with a mounting bracket, and a tilting bracket that allows for a 10% tilt downwards making it easy to direct the flow of the hot air in to the room.  The best place to mount the unit is at the top of the wall, near the ceiling, and then tilt the fan down to create a hot environment.

Control System

To control the fan heater, simply use an ELRT which has a thermostatic controlling range of 0-70⁰C.  The unit is wired in to the fan heater, and mounted in a position for easy access.  It may be worth placing the controller inside a tamper proof, lockable control box to keep people from changing the settings!
